Our pledged Charity: UNITY CHILDREN MISSION
THEIR MISSION:
Unity Children Mission is a CBO registered with Ministry of Sports, Gender and Social Services Serial Number 534 targeting the communities living in slums in the Westlands Division, Nairobi Province, Kenya.
.
These communities experience highly prevalent rates Of poverty, health hazards, drugs abuse, illegal hard liquor and HIV/AIDS mostly due to the destitute nature of their livelihoods and environment in the slums.
Subsequently, children and youth who constitute above 70% of the population are the most vulnerable to these social vices, most of whom have ended up being slum dwellers while a significant proportion engage in drug abuse, crime and local liquor brewing.
Unity Children Mission has tried to mitigate social values in these slums through education campaigns and have managed to sieve 42 destitute children who don’t attend school and are either orphans, single parent children or extremely destitute. Through education tuition program, we have alienated these vulnerable children from their socially decayed living backgrounds. Our endeavors are to extend this program to many other destitute children hailing from the slums
